STEP 1. Start this first step by drawing out the guidelines and shapes to form a line of position for your wyvern. Start with a small egg shape for the head and then add the guidelines. Next draw another circle for the mid section of the wyvern’s body. After that is done you can then add the wing lines and then the tail line.   STEP 2. You will start this step by sketching out the beginning shapes of the wyvern's arm/wing. Now when you do that make sure the wings looks sort of bony and follow the same instructions on the other wing to the right. You will then draw out the beginning shape of the skull and then back bone of the wyvern as well.   STEP 3. As you can see once you’re done with the third step your wyvern should start looking like a cross between a dragon fossil and a skeleton. Finish off the shape of the arm like wing and then finish drawing out the shape of the frills on his back. You will then sketch out the tail which is under the jaw a bit and then add the shape of the frilled spikes behind the head.   STEP 4. You have now reached step four and with this step you will start sketching out the shapes of the thick scales that begin on the wyvern's back and move down through the tail. Once you have completed the scales for this step you can start sketching out the loose tissue that makes up the wings. Detail or define the face of the beast on the bottom jaw line and then move to the next step.   STEP 5. Wow there is so many steps before the finished product huh? Well I guess it has to be that way in order to get a good drawing. You will finish the scale shapes in this step which should take you no more than ten minutes. When you are done doing that you can start adding some definition to the wings and then add some shading on the forearm of the left arm/wing. Add more detail to the face above the brow and then proceed onto the next step.   STEP 6. Well you have finally made it to the last drawing step and all you have to do here is add some detailing to the scales as seen here. You will also need to draw in the teeth and then the eye as well as shading to the shoulder of the wyvern's wing. You can erase any guidelines or shapes that can be seen in the drawing to clean up your work.   STEP 7. When you're finally done you should have come out with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. All you have to do now is get creative and choose your colors to color your wyvern in with. I hope you had a ton of fun learning how to draw a frost wyvern step by step.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7.
