STEP 1. The first thing you are going to want to do is draw out the guidelines and shapes to make a frame for Duke. Start with a circle for his head and then add the facial gudielines. You will then draw out the body's lines of motion as you see it done for you here. Before you draw those lines, make sure that you draw another circle shape for the torso area.   STEP 2. For this next step, you will first draw out the shape of his strong looking jaw and face as seen here. Next draw out the shapes of his right arm, left forearm, and then the shape of his torso and or waist, and then his legs and or pants and feet or boots.   STEP 3. You will begin sketching out the rest of the shape of his face and then his spiky looking hair. Sketch out the eyes, nose, and mouth and then sketch in some thick eyebrows.   STEP 4. Finish sketching out the top shape of his head and then begin drawing out his vest and jacket. There is three pouch like pockets in the front of his vest so you will need to draw those in as well. Take your time and draw out the shape of his jacket collar and then add some detailing to the shoulders and sleeves.   STEP 5. As you can see your Joe is coming along very nicely. All you need to do now is sketch out the rest of his arms and hands and then detail and define his sleeves, and draw him some leather gloves. Sketch in the pouches he has on the hips of his pants as well.   STEP 6. begin adding some detailing and definition to his military pants. Once they are done you can draw the thigh strap on his right leg and finish drawing out the holster. Crease and wrinkle up the knee parts of his pants and then move to the next step.   STEP 7. All you have to do here is finish drawing out his legs and knee pads as seen here. Add some detailing and definition, then move to the last drawing step.   STEP 8. Here is your last drawing step. All you need to do now is draw out his military issued boots and make sure you lace them up. Erase all those guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.   STEP 9. When you are done your drawing should come out looking like Duke. Color him in and you have just completely finished this lesson on "how to draw Duke from G.I. Joe step by step". Hope you guys had fun!   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9.
