STEP 1. As always start off by making a skeletal structure to guide you drawing throughout it's progress. This pose has a lot of movement to it, so this step is not one to skip out of laziness. If you need to label the hand and feet VERY LIGHTLY.   STEP 2. Start to draw out the head. I'm going right into the detail because I really want to see where the perpective of looking up at him will look like. It seems like a good plan. When using this perspective, the facial features(eyes, nose, etc.) will be higher up on the head, and you will see less of his helmet. Also notice that Thor has a mighty jaw.   STEP 3. Continue to draw out the details of his face, even thought it's not really important during this process when you go into face details. Do them first. Do them last. It's really up to you. As you start drawing his torso, remember the perspective. One shoulder being forward, it will seem higher as will. This is true in this case because of the way he is holding the hammer up. Notice you don't even see his left shoulder, but his chest of steel is defnitely present.   STEP 4. Start to draw the detailes of his torso, along with the line where his shirt ends. Because of the perspective, his chest line is going downward, as do all of the lines of his frontal body. Don't use too much detail, because we're not quite sure where his leg is going to be just yet. Speaking of which, start to draw his legs.   STEP 5. A little daunted by where the legs are going to go, I distracted myself by drawing those circular button like things on his shirt(what are those things anyway?), and began to draw his arm. Also draw a line to where the hammer is going lie. Make sure when drawing the bracelet that it isn't flat. Curve the edge to fit the angle of his arm.   STEP 6. Finally forced to draw the leg, it turn out that human anatomy will not allow his leg to bend as far as the structure I made in the beginning. I actually think that making the leg kick out a little more makes him seem more dynamic. Sometimes your first sketched are going to be wrong. That's okay, because that's what sketched are there for. Observe the buttons on his pants/short shorts/Thor is manly?   STEP 7. Since the cuffs of his boots are just going to be inked in anyways, I did this now to slow down the pace of my progression and find a glimpse of what the final outcome will look like. When drawing the ties on his legs, don't draw them all parallel. The world is not perfect, and neither are his ties. I felt that Thor's eyebrows needed to be thicker as well.   STEP 8. Finally draw the hammer in along with the hand that is holding it. His feathered helmet comes out in front of his arm, helping to see how far back that hammer really is. When draw the mallet of the hammer, just think of a box at an angle.   STEP 9. Detaile the rest of the hammer, the wings on his helmet, and draw in his mighty cape. Make this movement at the bottom of the cape to be less "even zigzagged) as possible. When cloth flows it's not a mathmatical pattern of back and forth. There's many depths of folds and wrinkles.   STEP 10. Draw his long hair and some more details of his cape. Start to imagine where shadows and light will be on his cape, especially of you're think about coloring this god.   STEP 11. Whether you are inking this baby or not, you drawing is on the brink of being completed. Just remember that when shading his torso that the shading should not go all the way to his left side(our right). Also, his metallic helmet should have bars of shade. The bold lines of black make it look shinier that if there were corss hatching or a whole side of it black. Once you've completed, you can now take your God and defeat many foes in battle.
