STEP 1. To draw your soldier you must first draw the basic guidelines and shapes to form a frame.Start with a head shape and then draw the facial guidelines. You will then draw the shape of the torso and then move down to draw out the legs and then the feet which will later be the boots. Next draw the shape of the arms and then draw the lining for the riffle.   STEP 2. Now you will start sketching out the shape of the face structure as you see here including the ears. Once completed you can move to the next step.   STEP 3. Start sketching out the shape of the soldiers cloth like hat, and then draw in the facial features using the guidelines you drew in step one. This includes the eyes, nose, and mouth. Once finished, I added a scar on his eye, and a cut in his bottom lip. The next step is to sketch out the military fatigue that he is wearing starting with the shoulders. Each soldier wears a carry vest that holds, water, ammo, and other necessities. So you will also have to draw the straps as well.   STEP 4. Continue to draw out the fatigue, and then as you move down you will also draw the shape of the soldiers left arm and hand. Be sure to add detail and definition as well to make him look as real as possible. Once that is done you can start sketching out the back part of the military riffle that you see him holding. This riffle is fully equipped with a scope and everything.   STEP 5. Sketch out the right arm and sleeve and then continue to sketch out the shape and style of the military riffle that the soldier is holding. Once done, you will also need to add some more detailing to the clothes. Next start sketching out the utility belt that is around his waist and be sure to draw every pouch that comes with it.   STEP 6. You are already almost done with this lesson on "how to draw a soldier". What you will need to do first here is draw in the breathing holes on the sides of the riffles barrel, and then draw out the muzzle of the gun too. Once that is done you can then draw the rest of the detailing to his clothes and then start sketching out his pants. He has a long deep pocket on the side of his pants so be sure to sketch that out as well.   STEP 7. Well folks, this is your last drawing step. All you ave to do is sketch in some more detail with the pants and then draw out the combat boots that this soldier is wearing. Once that is done you can add some final touch ups and then start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.   STEP 8. When you are done with this lesson on "how to draw a soldier step by step", your drawing should come out looking like the one you see here. Color him in and that is it!   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3.
