STEP 1. All you have to do first is draw an outlined shape of the treasure chest that you will be drawing. Since the box is a rectangular shape, the framing of the chest has to be drawn to look like a rectangle.   STEP 2. You will now start sketching out the separate wood pieces that make up the design of the chest. The brass corner pieces are used to fuse the front, sides, and back of the chest together along with nails. Once that is done you will need to draw a lock plate on the front as you see here.   STEP 3. Next draw the inside of the chest's lid. To do this you will need to draw three wooden pieces, and then the arched side pieces of wood. Draw the hinge in the right corner as you see here.   STEP 4. Start sketching out the top of the chest which is also arched. The top of a typical treasure chest has a lid that is erect. Draw the outline of the brass trim and more corner brackets as you see here.   STEP 5. Well folks this is your last drawing step. Here is where you will have some good fun. First things first though. Draw the little circle shapes for each nail that holds the corner pieces in and then draw the shape of the key hole. Some chests have a latch for a pad lock, and some have a chest key. Once the outside of the chest is drawn, you can then fill your box will a bunch of treasure that you think you would bury. I filled with gold, rubies, and a map. When you're done you can start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.   STEP 6. Here is what your drawing looks like when you're done. Color it in and you have yourself a real treasure chest that is filled with a bunch of royalties that could make anyone rich.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6.
