STEP 1. Since you will be drawing two different characters at once, you will be doing double the work. Start by making two circles for the heads of Tom and Jerry. Next draw peanut shaped bodies on both feline and rodent, and then attach the limb guidelines as you see here. Oh yeah, don't forget to add the facial guidelines too.   STEP 2. Let's start with Tom's head shall we? The first thing you will want to do is sketch out the back of his head. Like all cats, Tom has long hair so you will convey this through art by making sure the lining is long and stubby at the same time. Next, draw the shape of the mouth or face like so, and then begin the lining for his oval shaped eyes. Now you can start sketching out Jerry's head. He is easier because all you have to do is draw a thicker line for the head shape, and then make an ear. Next, draw the snout shape, and then hair on his head.   STEP 3. You will now add the rest of the lining for Tom's eyes, and then draw in the pupils. Once that is done you can sketch out the cat's nose, and lips which is the jowls, and them add some whiskers. Sketch in his eyebrows, and draw the lining for his mouth to show that friendly smile. As for Jerry, draw his eyes, eyebrows, and ear detailing. Color in a nose, draw whiskers, and then draw the bottom part of his mouth or jaw.   STEP 4. All you have to do now is start drawing Tom's upper body which includes the arms, torso, and belly. When this is done you can move to the next step.   STEP 5. Finish drawing Tom's head, and then draw both of his ears. Add the lining inside of the ear, and then draw his hand that is behind his back, and then the hand that is shaking Jerry's small hand. Draw the belly lining, and then draw Jerry's arms and hand, and then his torso and or belly.   STEP 6. Now that you have come this far, it's time to finish off your sketch. Draw Tom's legs, and feet and then give him his thick long tail. Draw the coat markings on the tail, and ankles, and then do the same for Jerry. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.   STEP 7. That's it, you just drew Tome and Jerry, and now they are ready to be colored in to become whole. I hope you had fun, and yes it was a bot of a struggle, but in the end you have learned something new.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7.
