STEP 1. Begin with a face or head guide like so, then sketch in the facial guidelines.   STEP 2. Use the guides to sketch out the form of her face. As you can see it's going to be done on an angle which means start at the forehead, then sunken in part for her eye, then draw the cheek bump, chin and jawline.   STEP 3. Begin filling in the empty areas with Betty Boop's clinging hair. The small curls should frame her face like so, and should also be a parted style. When that task is done you can draw the large hoop earrings.   STEP 4. Now you can finish the shape of her head by drawing the rest of her hair. Draw in the other hoop earring and you are done for now.   STEP 5. Now that the face shape is done and her hair is finished, we will begin tackling the eyebrows, and her nose. Again, her face is on an angle.   STEP 6. Draw in her great big expressive eyes and this should most definitely include the lashes. Draw her puffy lips and add detailing to her eyes.   STEP 7. Now for Betty Boop's body pose. Draw her left arm lifted and behind her head. You will need to draw in the shoulder and some of her neck shape.   STEP 8. Lastly, draw Betty Boop's right side of her body with her hand resting on her neck, and give her some nice nails like she does in her cartoon style form. Add definition to the base of her neck, then erase the mistakes and guides.   STEP 9. That's it, you are ready to color in this realistic version of Betty Boop. Give her the traditional Betty Boop colors too.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9.
