STEP 1. This isn't a drawing step is more like a a tip step. Here I explain how the griddle of the diamond should look, and how the rounded arches should be spaced and placed. This gives the gem a hardened and protected look. The griddle is the mid section of a diamond which helps maintain it's beauty by protecting it from chipping and any other types of damage.   STEP 2. Here I explain or actually show you in a diagram of movement, how the bottom of the diamond should be drawn. Notice there are several different lines that makes up the base of this jewel. The bottom of the diamond is called the pavillion.   STEP 3. Now we will start this lesson. First draw a sort of short vertical line, and then a longer horizontal like like you see here.   STEP 4. Using the two lines you drew in step one, draw the top of the diamond which should be flat. Come down on each edge and make an angle that eventually comes to a point at the base.   STEP 5. Now you will begin drawing in the uniform shapes that makes up the diamonds design, and genetic make up. Take your time so you come out with something very even, and perfectly symmetrical. This part of the diamond is called the crown.   STEP 6. For the last drawing step, all you need to do is draw out the lines that make up the design of the pavillion. Notice how the ends of each line do not meet up at the very tip of the base. The bottom of a diamonds base tip is called the cutlet. Erase the guidelines you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.   STEP 7. When you are done this is how the diamond looks. You can color it in to a nice pink, green, or whatever color you want. A good idea on what type of color to shade in your diamond with, is maybe go by your birthstone shade.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7.
