STEP 1. You are drawing two figures, but I will start by drawing out the guidelines and shapes for Robin first. Begin with a small circle for the head, and then draw out the torso which is in the form of a U shape. Draw the shoulders and the limb stick lines.   STEP 2. Now you can draw out Batman's framed body also starting with a circle for the head. Batman is much bigger, muscular, and stronger looking then Robin. This means his torso shape is going to be a lot bolder, wider, and shaped more like a shield. When that is all done, draw the limb lines for the arms and legs.   STEP 3. Begin sketching out their heads starting with Batman. As you can see Batman has a very strong, and square looking jawline, and cheek structure. Even when his mask is off his face is very chiseled. Next, draw his pointed ears for the mask, and then draw out the back lining for his back. Next, sketch out the face framing for Robin, and be sure to include his ear shapes.   STEP 4. Now it's time to draw out the rest of their faces. To do this, make a pointed nose for Batman since his face is inside of a mask, and then draw out his eyes, and mouth. For Robin you will have to draw out his eye mask, then the eyes, and then his nose and mouth.   STEP 5. Here in this step you will begin sketching out both Batman and Robin's upper bodies. Start by sketching out the shoulders, and arms for Batman, and be sure that the thickness is muscular. Next, add that small bump for the cape, and begin drawing out Robin in better detail. Start by drawing out his messy but pointed hairstyle, and then instead of drawing his torso, you will sketch out the boy wonder's cape lining line you see here.   STEP 6. Always start each step with Batman. Having said that, continue to draw out his torso by drawing in the wide back lining, waist, and hips. Next, finish drawing out his arm by sketching in the hand as well. Add some chest and arm pit definition. Now move your attention to Robin. You will start by drawing out his shoulders, sleeves, arms, and gloves.   STEP 7. All you need to do to Batman now is draw out the rest of his body, and then draw out his legs. Next, draw the rest of Robins upper body, and then begin drawing out his legs which are bent up towards his chest because he is in an action pose. Make a small circle on the right side of his chest for his R emblem and then sketch in some crease or fold lines for the sleeves.   STEP 8. You are almost done guys, all you have to do now for Batman is draw out his flaring cape, and finish off those legs. But before finishing Batman, you will need to draw in his crotch area. After that draw in the boot lining and add some knee detailing too. For Robin, you have to draw out the rest of his legs, and then draw out the boot lines as well.   STEP 9. For the last drawing step, all you need to do is draw out Batman's utility belt, draw the emblem on his chest, and then draw in those spikes on the back of his forearm. Add some stomach detailing, and then add some definition to his cape. Don't forget to draw in the R for Robins emblem and give his body some detailing as well. Now you are ready to erase the lines and shapes you drew in step one.   STEP 10. Here is how they look when all is said and done. Now you can work even more by coloring them in. I hope you liked this lesson on how to draw Batman and Robin, it was a real treat for me to do.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9. Step 10.
