STEP 1. This is a tip for the proportioning of the two bodies, male and female. Females have curvier features, while the common male has slim and box like features. Female faces are soft edged, and their eyes have heavier line thickness to portray more of a girl. A male's features are sharper and boxed. Their eyes are almost similar to a female's, excluding the line thickness for the eyes. The average height for a male and female are 6 heads - especially in Japanese Anime, which have female characters a bit short. Usually female protagonists are shorter than seducing female characters.   STEP 2. This is just a simple view of the exact way to draw anime eyes when drawing and creating your Japanese anime characters. As you can see how each step turns into a completed eye.   STEP 3. Start by drawing three round shapes for the heads, and then draw in the guidelines for the faces and bodies like you see here.   STEP 4. Now start sketching out the shapes of their faces, and then draw out the thick bold lines of the top eyelids like you see here.   STEP 5. Continue to draw out the eye shapes but make sure that they are sort of oblong and squared at the base. Next, draw in the eyebrows for4 the female characters, as well as the blush marks to the figure to the left. Each anime character you see here has a unique expression on their face. Draw in the girls noses, and then all three of their mouths. Lastly, move to step four.   STEP 6. Okay, now it's time to start drawing out the hairstyles for each Japanese figure you see here. This is the step where you can play with the concept of hairstyles. I chose to draw a bowl like do for the male character, and the two girls have either a short, or long hairdo. Add some detailing and definition before proceeding to step five.   STEP 7. Let's start drawing out the upper bodies. Start by making the necks, and then their shoulders. For the male figure in the middle you will need to draw out his visible arms, as well as his shirt collar, and then the shirt itself. Once that is done, you can make the bumps for the breast on the character to the right.   STEP 8. Alright guys, before you add the detailing to the male figures shirt, I want you to first draw out the rest of the girls bodies. As you can see the Japanese anime girl to the left is a lot more petite than the girl to the right. When drawing out her upper body, make sure that the breast are not so large. Her shoulders should be covered with a long short sleeve style shirt, and then draw in her bashful posed arms which are going to overlap each other. The girl to the right is a lot more confident, and she is also a lot more bustier. Draw in her arms and one hand, and then the long sleeves, bottom of the shirt, and then draw in her skirt. Now you can add that button line to his shirt, as well as the neck collar detailing and crease and folds on the sides and on the front of the button line.   STEP 9. Draw her legs, and then finish her arms and hand. You will also draw in her buttons and then draw in his pants and add those fold and wrinkle lines on the female to the right. You will also need to draw in her bracelets too. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.   STEP 10. Here is your anime figures when you are all done. Now you can color them in and when you are all done, you have yourself a finished tutorial on how to draw Japanese anime.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9.
