STEP 1. You are going to be drawing a family of raccoons so brace yourselves. Start by making a series of shapes with the biggest being for the mothers head, and body. Next, draw the head shapes for the babies.   STEP 2. Now you will begin sketching out the shapes of the heads for each raccoon which is four. The mother should have the pinched cheeks, and the erect ears. Add that strand of hair on top of her head to add some character. Next, sketch out the heads and ears for the little babies.   STEP 3. Now draw in her snout and then a nose. Once that is done use the facial guidelines you drew in step one to draw in her eyes evenly and as you can see they are almond shaped. Color in some pupils and then draw in the detailing inside of her ear. Next, color in the eyes for two of the baby raccoons, and then all three noses.   STEP 4. For the mom you will be drawing out her burglar like eye mask and then draw in the other markings on her face. You will also do the same thing for the other baby raccoons like you see and when you are done you can move to step five.   STEP 5. You are now ready to start drawing out the bodies for all of the raccoons. For the mom you can draw out the legs and paws, and then draw out the chest. For the kiddies, you will also be drawing out their front legs and paws, and for the little guy sleeping on moms back, draw in the one arm and paw, as well as the back.   STEP 6. Here you will finish drawing out the bodies for all the raccoons in the picture. Start by drawing out moms hind leg and rear quarter. Next, draw in her big puffy tail, and then draw out the babies bodies as well as their tails too.   STEP 7. Before you draw in those stripes on the tails, you will need to start erasing the lines and shapes that you drew in step one. Once that is finished, you can draw in those stripes on the tails.   STEP 8. When you are all done and you feel happy with the raccoons, you should end up with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Now you can go ahead and color the family in to finish off this tutorial.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8.
