STEP 1. Here all you have to do is start with the simple round shape of the head, and then draw out the squared body which is arched back a bit because of the action pose. When that is done don't forget to draw in the limb lines.   STEP 2. Draw out the shape of the face like so, and then draw in the hair line that will eventually frame the face. So far this is turning out to be a simple lesson right?   STEP 3. You will now start the process of getting the eyes, and eyebrows drawn out. The brows should be drawn to look long, and wispy. The eyes need to be drawn in to look big, and bright. Be sure to draw in the thick eyelashes and a small dot for the mouth. I chose to make a female elf, but you can make a male if you like.   STEP 4. Lets get more of her hair drawn out and as you can see it's not going to be a straight style. I decided that wavy locks would look best on this night elf. When you feel confident that the hair is drawn in properly, you can get the oblong shaped ears drawn out and be sure to detail them and most importantly, the tips should be pointed.   STEP 5. This step is pretty simple because all you have to do is draw out a small ponytail in the back of her head. You can choose to go without one, but for me I like this style. Detail the inside of the ear before leaving this step.   STEP 6. Its now time that you get to work on the body. As you can see she is twisted in a pose where she is looking back over her shoulder. Draw the neck. shoulder, arms, and then her torso, waist, hips, and thighs. The lining for the pants should be a bit baggy, and the hand should be drawn in a fist because she is clutching onto her dagger.   STEP 7. Draw in the other arm, and hand, and then you can draw out the daggers, or swords. I went with a curved or arched blade like a scimitar, but you can make tweaks for a different style blade if you like. Draw out the rest of her legs, and be sure to add the knife and holster that is clipped on her waist.   STEP 8. For the last drawing step all you have to do is sketch in the lines that will form the clothing like her top, the forearm wraps, and her belt. When that is done you can draw in the detailing lines on the blades, and then add detail to the boots. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up the drawing.   STEP 9. Here it is guys, your finished drawing on an elf for kids. Going through the steps made me think I should have made the lesson a wee bit easier, but nonetheless it will do. Color her or him in and you are all done with this tutorial.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9.
