STEP 1. Lets begin shall we? Start by sketching a circle and guidelines for the face. Make sure you try to accurately draw these guides in order to proportion certain features correctly. Take your time and consider drawing the circle by tracing over a circular object or these exact lines.   STEP 2. Ok, this step is pretty important, mainly because this is the structure that will piece together the face pretty easily. We'll sketch int he mask for Hannibal which locks him from chomping victims dead (like in 'Silence of the Lambs'). Try to draw the mask accurately in the center so we can place the following details later on.   STEP 3. Next, we will shift over to drawing the inner details of the mask like the air holes at either sides of the face as well as the guarded mouth piece.   STEP 4. Then, time to sketch his forehead and the hairline receding at the sides. Make sure you draw the hair scattered in some parts to keep the essence of his eerie and mysterious look. It also makes him look crazy.   STEP 5. Alright, right now he looks like a ghost with just the eyes and lids. This is also and essential step in creating his composition most captivating. The eyes should be drawn at each dip of the mask, and close to the mid section. Draw them widened as well since he's always in a crazed stare.   STEP 6. Next, we'll sketch the eyebrows and wrinkles that reside on around his eyes and forehead. Don't overdo it unless you want a wicked old Hannibal. Make sure the eyebrows are drawn almost touching the lids to capture his look best.   STEP 7. To finish to mask, we'll need to draw the buckles and locks that secure it closed, as well as his ears. Remember to take your time with this since any mishap can ruin the entire drawing.   STEP 8. Lastly, we'll finish him off by sketching the color of his shirt and the straitjacket that secures his body to a wheeled table. This step should be a relief for all those who want to finish!   STEP 9. With further detailing and cleanup as well as proportion check, you should have something very similar to this. I hope ya'll had fun with this lesson as much as I did, it was a pleasure painting my favorite idol character, Hannibal Lector. Thanks for viewing and don't hesitate to let me know your progress!   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9.
