STEP 1. Here we will start off by drawing the bases for everything. Draw the base for the head and snout, a line for the neck, and a shape for the chest. Coming from that chest is the base line for the wing, and on the chest shape, draw the shapes reperenting the arms and the paws. Draw a line connecting to the base for one of the hind legs, and then finish it off with the long tail.   STEP 2. Now we will start adding the details. Re-outline the face, creating the mouth, eyebrow, back of the jaw, and the ear. Draw on one of the horns, and the jagged spines running down its neck. Draw the rest of the neck, and move on to the next step.   STEP 3. Finish off the face and neck with an eye and another eyebrow, the second horn, and adding detail to the jagged spines and ear. Now add in the chest plates, and also finish the outline for the chest. Draw in the forearm and the paw belonging to that arm.   STEP 4. Now create small spikes along the neck, and draw in several chest plates in a zig-zag formation, representing the lightning. Draw in the other arm, and you have finished the torso.   STEP 5. Now we will start making the bottom half of the dragon, including the wing. Draw the arm for the wing, leaving out the fingers that we will create later. Draw in some more chest plates on the belly, and make the chest plates connect to a large back leg.   STEP 6. Start adding more detail to the wing. Draw the in the fingers, and connect them with a line representing the skin that enables your dragon to fly. Below the plate-covered belly, draw in the other back leg with grasping toes. Behind the first back leg, draw the bottom of the tail.   STEP 7. Next, draw in the other wings, creating ripples in the skin, and do the same to the first wing you drew. Draw the plates on the tail, with the same zig-zag pattern, and draw in the top of the tail, with jagged spines running down the middle. Draw the weapon at the end of the tail, which I chose as a common lightning shape.   STEP 8. Add any other details you think necessary. Now it's time to give your dragon a name, a dwelling, and a whole story that explains whatever you want it to. Rate and comment, tell me how you went, and I hope you enjoyed learning how to draw an electric dragon!   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8.
