STEP 1. Begin by drawing yourself a small round shape for the head and a larger circle for the body. Make sure the two shapes are joined together.   STEP 2. Using the head guide, carefully draw out the head of the malay tapir as well as the extended nose. Sketch in the lower portion of the jaw which is curled upward under the ear. Add the ears and then sketch in some detailing for the mouth.   STEP 3. Make a long swift line for the back of the tapir like so, and incorporate that same lining for the hind leg as well.   STEP 4. You will continue to draw out the body of the tapir which is the rest of the legs and then the chest, and stomach. Add some wrinkle or crease lines under the front arm or leg.   STEP 5. Lastly, draw in the eyeball, color it in solid leaving some white, and then sketch in the creases on the nose, knees, and neck. Draw the toes and toe nails like so, and add detailing inside of the ear as well as along side of the snout. Clean up the drawing and move along.   STEP 6. Your finished drawing should look like the one you see here. I didn't draw or add the stripes on the tapir because I didn't know if you wanted a baby tapir or adult. The babies have those spotty lines and adults have the solid black and white colors.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6.
