STEP 1. Even though you will be drawing a dragon inside of an egg, you will have to draw the baby dragon first. Start with a head shape like so, and then make a line for the neck position which is bent in an arch. Attach the end of the line to the body shape.   STEP 2. You will now start sketching out the actual structure of the dragon's head. As you can see it is in a fetal pose with the head bending downward. Draw the jaw line and then draw the spikes on back of the head.   STEP 3. Continue to draw the neck, and then draw in some of the back part of the body. When this is done make the arms and small talons.   STEP 4. You will now be drawing the baby dragon's wing which is normally wrapped around the lower part of the body like a blanket. Once you have done that, you can sketch out more of the abdomen as well as the back part of the body.   STEP 5. You are getting closer to the end of this tutorial. All you have to do now is sketch out the legs and feet, as well as the cute toes.   STEP 6. Finish the dragon embryo by drawing the tail. As you can see the tail is curled upward which forms a ball or the shape of the egg. Add some detailing to the wing and then clean up the baby dragon.   STEP 7. Lastly, draw the shell that houses the embryo like so using thick bold lining.   STEP 8. Here is your finished drawing of a dragon egg when you are all done.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5.
