STEP 1. begin with a circle shape for the head and then add a facial guideline.   STEP 2. You will use the shape you just drew in step one to sketch out the shape of the forehead as well as the sea lion's snout. Draw in the nose and then make sure there is a brow arch.   STEP 3. Using what you just drew in step two, begin sketching in the facial detailing like the nostril holes which are drawn in a swirl like action. You will then draw the split line coming from the base of the nose onto the lip, then sketch in the definition for the slope of the muzzle. Color in some eyebrows, and then draw whiskers as well as whisker holes. also add some loose hair pieces on top of each eyebrow.   STEP 4. next, draw in the shapes of the eyes. Notice how each eye seems to be different shaped. This is how the character's face and expression was designed. Add a small ear and then proceed on.   STEP 5. Finish drawing the rest of Stefano's head, as well as the face. You will start with the back part of the head and then draw out the neck. Draw the bottom jaw, then add in the teeth, tongue, and the detailing inside of the mouth. As you can see Stefano is a very excited looking character.   STEP 6. Lastly, draw the clown style collar around the neck which looks more like a ruffled ring. Sketch in the detailing along the edges of the collar, as well as around the neck. Erase the mistakes and guides before you leave this step.   STEP 7. Here he is all drawn and ready to be colored in. I hope you enjoyed making Stefano from Madagascar 3.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3.
