STEP 1. You will begin like you always do by drawing a couple shapes and lines for your guides. As you see here I made a shape for the head, and another for the body. I then connected the two with a neck guide.   STEP 2. Next, using the shape you just made, begin sketching out the structure of the miniature pinscher's face. The view is mainly from the side but you will see a tiny bit of the opposite eye in later steps. Once the snout, jawline and forehead is complete, move along to step three.   STEP 3. Here you will complete the head and face by first drawing out the medium sized pointed ears. Add detailing or definition to one of the ears, then draw in the min pin's eyes and nose.   STEP 4. Draw out the thick shape of the neck, then add the markings along the snout, neck, above the eyes. These areas will all be colored brown when you are done with the drawing.   STEP 5. Continuing with the task of drawing out the body, sketch out the shapes of the front legs. When that is done you will carefully draw out each paw and don't forget to make the toes thick and well formed.   STEP 6. Finish the body by drawing the dog's back, and hind leg. Notice the stance of this breed. Even though they are small, miniature pinscher's have an amazing form. Draw out the bottom part of the leg as well as the paw, then draw in the cropped tail.   STEP 7. Lastly, draw in the other hind leg and paw. When you feel that your min pin is well drawn and defined, you will need to start erasing your mistakes and guidelines because in the next step we will be adding the rest of the dog's marking lines.   STEP 8. Now you can draw in the markings on the chest, back legs, and on the lower part of it's front legs. Draw the paw padding which peaks through just a bit, as well as the nails on each toe. Sketch in some small amounts of body definition too before calling this drawing done.   STEP 9. Here is the line art when you are finished. Now you can have even more fun as you color in this toy breed.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9.
