STEP 1. Let's start by drawing the dragon's line of motion which is basically the guidelines and shapes. Make a circle for the head, then draw the long swirl line for the body. Add the shapes for the talons as well.   STEP 2. Next, we will begin sketching out the dragon's snout which is shorter, and squarer than the typical dragon. The forehead bulging out like you see here, and the bottom jaw looks to be separate from the top.   STEP 3. Remember when I said that the bottom jaw appeared to be separate from the top? Well that's because it wasn't the bottom jaw at all. It was the inside of the dragon's mouth. Sketch out the chin and jaw line like so, then sketch out the bush of hair or fur that shapes out the oriental dragon's head. Also give the dragon a beard.   STEP 4. Chinese and other oriental dragons have antler shaped horns. You will draw those in like so, then begin sketching out the shapes of the ears. Next, we will tackle the face. Draw out the bulging brow, then sketch in the crinkle or layered wrinkle lines on the snout followed by the nose tip. Add all the teeth inside of the dragon's mouth, then sketch in some scaly detailing on the forehead.   STEP 5. Okay guys, we will now tackle the body. Start by drawing a thick slithering body shape like so, then draw in the first limb which is the front leg and talon.   STEP 6. Draw in the second front leg like so, then slowly sketch out the back leg and foot along with the toes.   STEP 7. Here all you have to do is draw in the nails, as well as the scaly textured skin on the lower parts of the limbs. Also, there is a talon that has some of the back side exposed. Draw in the paw padding.   STEP 8. To finish off the design of the oriental dragon, all you have to do is draw in the other back leg, then finish off the body by sketching out the tail.   STEP 9. Before anything, you will need to draw in the hairy tuft at the end of the tail like you see here. When that is done go ahead and start erasing the mistakes. You will need to sketch in all the detailing to a cleaned drawing. Draw the underbelly lining as well as the scales that are scattered on the body.   STEP 10. Here is how your oriental dragon looks when you are finished. Now all you have to do is color it in using a shade you like.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9.
