STEP 1. Are you ready? Good, let's get started. You will need to draw out the shape of Venus' body frame first so begin with a few circles for the head, torso and hip area. When that is done draw the leg guides, as well as the facial guidelines.   STEP 2. Next, sketch out the actual shape of her face, then draw in her flowing hair in the form of chunks. Add a wave and detailing to the hair as well.   STEP 3. Next, sketch out the lining for the back part of her neck, then sketch in the eyes, eyebrows, and mouth. Add definition to her hair, then proceed to step four.   STEP 4. Here we will begin sketching out Venus' body. Start with the shoulders, then draw in her torso and both arms. One of the arms is raised to cover one of the breasts while the other arm rests along her side. Draw in both hands too.   STEP 5. Continue to draw out her hair which should be long and flowing. The hair begins to curl in towards her body as you can see here. Add detailing to her hair by adding hair strand lines.   STEP 6. Finish sketching out her body and make sure to draw Venus in her famous tilted pose. The legs should stay simple and the shape of her body shouldn't be too curvy. Add the definition on her belly, then draw in the feet and toes.   STEP 7. For the last step you will need to draw out the clam shell that she is standing in. This is what is suppose to show how Venus is emerging from the water as she is being born. Add all the detailing to the shell and make sure that it's not drawn to seem flat. There needs to be dimension there. Erase your mistakes then you're done.   STEP 8. Here is how The Birth of Venus looks when you're finished. Color her in and show her off.   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3.
