STEP 1. First, you are going to want to sketch out the shape of Loki's left eye, but when you look at it, it will be on the right side. It is mainly just three strait lines and two softer curves. Do not connect the two curves unless you wish to do so, but it looks better when not connected.   STEP 2. Now you are going to draw Loki's other eye. It is similar in shape and size, but it is a bit more curved on the top rather than being straight.   STEP 3. We now begin to get the shape of the nose. You can shape it until you get the correct shape that you like. It should be narrower at the bottom around the nostrils, and begin to get wider as you go up. End the nose definitions around where you want to draw Loki's eyebrows.   STEP 4. Draw two lines that curve when they meet for Loki's nostrils. You might want to draw them a bit smaller than I did.   STEP 5. This is where we start to add a bit of depth to his eyes, and also works as a guide when we come back to shadow around his eyes.   STEP 6. Draw Loki's iris and pupil for both eyes, drawing them in the direction that you want him to be looking. I drew mine looking off to the left a bit.   STEP 7. Here is where you draw the outline of Loki's eyebrows. His expression is really dependent on how his eyebrows are positioned. The beginning of his eyebrows should connect to his nose definition. I drew his eyebrows angled downwards to show a kind of saddened and questioning look.   STEP 8. Going down a bit from the nose, this is where you are going to draw Loki's mouth. You can draw a smirk, his smile, or clenched teeth depending on his expression you wish for him to have. Below that, draw an arch and two lines to give depth and so you know where else to shadow.   STEP 9. Here, we are shaping Loki's face by drawing his chin and jawline. You are going to want to continue his jawline to where the beginning of his sideburns will be.   STEP 10. Here, we draw a line at an angle outwards, then up, creating his sideburns and hairline.   STEP 11. Continuing with the line of the jawline, taking it up a bit and curving the top around in the shape of Loki's ear. Add all the details in afterwards.   STEP 12. All we are doing here is simply drawing the neck, shoulders, and collar. The shoulder angle and the collar may vary depending on which attire you draw his in.   STEP 13. Here we are drawing in Loki's hair, which will also vary depending on his appearance. To do the hair on top of his head, use smaller or larger arches, depending on your style, to give the appearance of combed back hair.   STEP 14. This part is optional, but I like the look it gives. If you would like, you can add a couple lose strands of hair for detail.   STEP 15. Lastly, we need to add shadowing. Where ever there is a red line, or where ever you think needs so shadowing, draw lines there lightly, then smudge them with you finger.   STEP 16. Color it or leave it just as a pencil artwork, and you are done.   STEP 17. There are many ways you can use this tutorial, and two on my drawings are pictured above and here. I hope this helped, and I hope your Loki drawings are awesome!   Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Step 5. Step 6. Step 7. Step 8. Step 9. Step 10. Step 11. Step 12. Step 13. Step 14. Step 15. Step 16.
